We love festivals - if you're a festival organiser interested in having fresh, organic vegetarian and vegan cooking at your event, do get in touch, we'd love to hear from you.

Coming up, we'll be at the Great Lakes Brewery's Harvest Festival on Saturday, September 25, 12-4 pm, at the Great Lakes Brewery, 30 Queen Elizabeth Blvd, Toronto M8Z 1L8.

And if you had a taste of our lovely eats at the Mariposa Folk Festival or the Queen West Art Crawl this summer, let us know what you thought!

Farmers' Markets 2010

Come see us at our Farmers' Markets:

Mondays, 3 pm - 7 pm: Sorauren Park (Sorauren Ave & Dundas West, west of Lansdowne)
Tuesdays, 3 pm - 7 pm: Trinity Bellwoods Park (Shaw St. & Dundas West)
Thursdays, 8 am - 2 pm: North York Civic Centre (Mel Lastman Square, Yonge north of Sheppard)

We'll be selling our organic baked goods and yummy savouries until the end of October. Come check us out!

Hello all you foodies, bus fanatics and lovely people out there!

After four years of creating celestial culinary creations as the Local Cafe, we're now driving into cyberspace as The Bus Kitchen.

We still have the same mission - to use organic, local, and ethical ingredients to create food that is not only hardcore yummy delicious, but also healthy: for you, the planet and our community.

The Bus Kitchen is a roving cafe and bakery. We supply food at markets, festivals, cafes and through catering.

Our food is made from scratch and is simple and tasty. We source from farmers and producers in Southern Ontario, and through distributors that provide fair trade imports. Most of the ingredients we purchase are certified organic. If an ingredient we have chosen to use is not organic it is because we have come to know the producer and admire their work.

All our food is made on The Bus, a school bus that we've kitted out as a full kitchen, using solar and propane power to do our cooking and preparing. We cater for events large and small, deliver to cafes and sell at farmers' markets in Toronto. Please get in touch to find out more, we'd love to hear from you!
